MAYA MASH TO MESH | RETAIN DISPLACEMENT

I recently stumbled across an issue with Mash in Maya when creating a mash network and converting it to a mesh. This happened while making the fruit loops for the Madalorian piece I’m currently working on(see post below). When I converted the Mash network to a mesh and then exported it out as a .ma asset file and referenced it into my main scene - it lost the displacement connected to the materials. To resole this issue, after converting the mash network to a mesh I then separated the mesh/geo back out into separate objects(mesh>separate). This then put all of the sub/separate pieces of geometry(each fruit loop) into a group. Next I just exported that group as a .ma file/asset(deleted the history first). This fixed the issue and the displacement rendered as expected after referencing in the .ma asset file.
