REDSHIFT | HDRI CAUSING FLICKERING WHEN RENDERING ANIMATION

Hey. Just noticed that HDRI’s plugged into a dome light cause flickering when rendering an animation in Redshift. This seems odd, but regardless I seem to have discovered a way around this for now. You can just save out your HDRI as a jpg from photoshop and use this on your dome light instead and this should do the trick for you. I believe the same would be true if you’re using an image in the Redshift environment input in the render globals for interiors. Technically the lighting information wouldn’t be as accurate this way, but honestly it’ll still give you 99% the same look, so who cares. Just plug in that jpg and get yourself a flicker free animation. Happy rendering.

Note: I was using Redshift and Maya when I discovered this, but I’m sure the same would apply to other 3D packages.
