RENDERMAN 24 | ACES

Alright Pixar couldn’t have made this any easier. Finally a renderer has made colour management a breeze(well aside from Cycles). All you have to do to set up Aces in Renderman is go to the “Features” tab in the render settings and then from the ”OpenColorIO” parameter/drop down select “Aces 1.2”(or whatever it is when you see this post) and just like that you’re good to go. No downloading an Open Color IO file and plugging it into your OCIO config path manually or specifying the input color space for your textures, etc. All you have to do is select it from that dropdown and you’re good to go. Renderman does the rest. It even corrects all your textures, including HDRI’s plugged into dome lights, etc. Thank you for that one Pixar.
